Therapy is more than just a quick fix. It's about helping you to discover how to live a healthier, and happier life and to help you make the changes to bring about lasting and positive changes. 

I understand that asking for help can be difficult sometimes and believe me I have asked for help myself. I know that therapy helped me when I was struggling in my life and as part of my training I have also had more personal therapy. 

Understanding your condition is a great way of controlling and reducing your problem and through my services not only will I help you to learn about yourself but also about your condition and develop ways to overcome the problems you face. This includes: social situation, anxiety, addictions, habits.

I understand how hard this can feel this can be but, because of this I also know that there are solutions and that by recognising, owning and experiencing our own emotions we can move through them to success. Sometime we can't see what is blocking our progress and that is where therapy can help. By being able to recognise what your blocks might be. 

My aim is to provide a therapy that is informed and able to work in an integrated way by combining the different theories and techniques of CBT, Psychotherapy, and Hypnotherapy that is based on the individual needs of anyone who comes to me for therapy.

At the beginning of therapy, an assessment is made and we will talk about what your therapy needs are any worries or concerns you have and then we create a plan and a and a way forward together. 

Among other things I am able to offer CBT therapy for trauma, depression and for anxiety disorders, (such as OCD, Social anxiety, other specific phobias, (a fear of heights, lifts, needles etc.)

This might be something called Generalised Anxiety disorder (GAD)- Hypnosis is excellent for helping you to develops skills in relaxation. CBT can help with those difficult emotional and physical feelings that can take control of your life. By identifying the negative thoughts based on the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy you can begin to enjoy today and not worry so much about tomorrow that you restrict your life or feel powerless  

CBT is for Emetophobia (a fear of being sick) is based on behavioural techniques called exposure response therapy (ERP). Treatment of Emetophobia is best accomplished through cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), which uses specific tools to reduce symptoms of vomit phobia. -

If you have thoughts about hurting yourself in the first instance contact your GP. Therapy can then find and work with those underlying feelings and thoughts. Sometimes self-harm or thoughts of suicide therapy may involve me working with your GP or other services that support you, to keep you safe!  

If you have a diagnosis of Autistic spectrum disorder (ASD) or have a learning difficulty and the anxiety of living with this. Often behaviours and routines can accompany ASD as well as some OCD behaviours because doing these can help reduce your anxiety. Having ASD can make it difficult to react with others in social situations and CBT is a very effective therapy for helping you work through your social anxiety.

On-line therapy is the delivery of mental health counselling via the Internet. People also know it as e-therapy, distance therapy, Internet therapy and web therapy. Therapists and online therapy networks use a variety of mediums such as apps for texting, video chatting, voice messaging and audio messaging. Studies have proven the efficacy of therapy via the Internet to the point where it has become a viable alternative and supplement to in-office therapy.

CBT is a helpful therapy that is structured and can help those unhelpful thoughts which can result in circular thinking and which make it difficult for you to see things in a positive way. By working together we can identify these and the reasons behind them and what might be that is stopping you from moving forward with your life
